Apple iPad fans can rest assured that the iPad 2 will be coming to Verizon. Today Verizon Wireless announced that iPad 2 will be available at select Verizon Wireless stores nationwide beginning tomorrow, March 11 at 5 pm local time.
Verizon Wireless will be offerring three iPad 2 models: $629.99 for the 16 GB model, $729.99 for the 32 GB model and $829.99 for the 64 GB model, all available in either black or white colors.
Monthly data plans will run the gamut from:
- $20 for 1GB
- $35 for 3GB
- $50 for 5GB
- $80 for 10GB
All data plans will be available without a contract, providing the freedom to activate or cancel a plan at any time, but users will have to make some hard choices about where and how they use their iPad 2.
As for features, as many of you already know the iPad 2 has an entirely new design that is 33% thinner and up to 15% lighter than the original iPad, while maintaining the same 9.7-inch LED-backlit LCD screen. iPad 2 features Apple’s new dual-core A5 processor for blazing fast performance and stunning graphics and now includes two cameras, a front-facing VGA camera for FaceTime® and Photo Booth, and a rear-facing camera that captures 720p HD video. iPad 2 still delivers up to 10 hours of battery life.
