The fanatics at the BGR managed to get their hands on a picture of Verizon’s inventory (right) which seems to show that two different SKUs of the Android-powered Galaxy tablet are in the works, which means the chances are pretty high that Verizon will be carrying the Galaxy Tablet within the next month or two.
The Samsung Galaxy Tablet will sport a 7in screen with the following reported specs:
- Front and rear cameras for video conferencing, photos, videos, augmented reality, etc
- Android 2.2: hotspot, Adobe Flash and super fast browser
- 1024×600 widescreen Super-AMOLED display (reportedly)
- GPS for mapping, navigation
- Phone calling abilities
The Tab will run on Android 2.2 and feature full Web-browsing and video calling. The short clip also implied that the Galaxy Tab will sport an HD screen for video, Flash support (something it seems the iPad will never have), support for e-books, possible GPS navigation, and PC linking.
