Verizon Wireless continues to outpace the competition for wireless covergae throughout the United States.
For today it announced new Verizon Wireless cell sites in Davis, San Jose, and Oakland.
In Davis the new cell site expands 3G wireless coverage in the Davis area from Highway 113 north to Road 29, south to Russell Boulevard, east to Anza Avenue and west to Road 97 & West Covell Boulevard.
In San Jose the new cell site expands 3G wireless coverage in the San Jose area north to Blossom Hill Road, south to Colleen Drive, east to Blossom Avenue and west to Santa Teresa Boulevard.
In Oakland the new cell site expands 3G wireless coverage in the Oakland area north on MacArthur to Maple Street, south to Highway 580, east on 35th to Sutter and west to Jordan.
The company’s ongoing network investment in California now totals nearly $5.7 billion. Nationally, Verizon Wireless has invested more than $55 billion since it was formed – $5.5 billion on average every year – to increase the coverage and capacity of its premier nationwide network and to add new services.
The increase in coverage and capacity means the network can carry more calls, e-mails, text and picture messages in more places, and offer greater wireless access to the Web.
